The Cue Collector - Joe Davis 109 Break Cue
This is a Joe Davis Champion Cue.

It has an ash shaft hand-spliced into an ebony butt.  The front splice is birds eye maple.

This particular cue commemorates Joe Davis's billiards world record of 2501, made in May 1927, and Joe Davis's snooker world record break of 109, made in January 1933.

Joe Davis exceeded his own 109 snooker break in March 1933, when he made a break of 114.

The cue was manufactured by Thurstons in 1933.
