The Cue Collector - The Riley Prize Cue
This is the Riley Prize Cue.  It has an ash shaft with a plain ebony butt.  The badge is plastic.  It is in the classic E.J. Riley tombstone shape.

E.J. Riley Limited probably manufactured this type of Riley Prize Cue from approximately 1953 through to the 1960s.

There was an earlier version of the Riley Prize Cue that was made in the early 1900s.  The earlier version has a wide rectangular badge with a tombstone shape head.

To see a copy of an E.J. Riley Limited trade catalogue, advertising the Riley Prize Cue,                      and follow the link to the year 1953-1954.

I have a second Riley Prize Cue.  The second cue has a maple shaft.
