The Cue Collector - William Green Cue
This is a William Green Cue.  It has an ash shaft on an ebony butt.  The ivory badge is set into a tulipwood front-splice, which has been formed into a herringbone pattern.

William Green was an English professional who was not highly-ranked as a billiards player in the country of his birth.

He moved to Glasgow and, in 1870, won the Scottish Professional Championship.

William Green held that title for 18 years, until 1888, when he lost it to Joe Sala.

This cue was made by Burroughes & Watts, probably in the late 1800's.
