This is a Tom Newman 1274 Facsimile Cue.  It has an ash shaft hand-spliced onto a macassar ebony butt.

This Tom Newman Facsimile Cue commemorates Newman's second world record billiards break.

The break was made on 31 December 1922 in a match against Claude Falkiner at New Burroughes Hall in London.

The break exceeded Tom Newman's own previous world record of 1024, made in May 1921.

Tom Newman exceeded the 1274 record break in November 1924.

This cue was manufactured by Burroughes & Watts in the period from 1922-1924.
